Form Based Codes 101 Presentation

  • Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association 2001 SHREVE STREET, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 United States (map)

A form-based code (FBC) is a land development regulation that fosters predictable built projects and high-quality public spaces by using physical form (rather than separation of uses) as its organizing principle. A form-based code is a regulation, not a mere guideline, adopted into city, town, or county law that offers a powerful alternative to conventional zoning regulation. Want to learn more? Join the City’s Chief Planner Mitchell Austin, with the support of Smart Growth Punta Gorda, in this introductory presentation on form-based codes, why they are relevant and how they are used.
